Soul Shard is a two-player cooperative split-screen puzzle game set in a mysterious factory in 1840s England. Players have the option of playing as Nimue, a young girl, or Ambrose, a cyborg bear. The factory is owned by Nimue's father, after Nimue learns that her father is using corpses to create a new generation of cyborg workers, she takes it upon herself and her sidekick Ambrose to destroy the factory. Working together to solve a variety of puzzles, players make their way through the factory utilizing a set of artifacts Nimue has invented giving Ambrose the ability to create a variety of "platforms" with an assortment of abilities.
One of my main tasks was to create and implement the user HUD, which included feedback for available and unavailable artifacts, the current platform variant, the quantity of artifact bits collected, a collectibles popup screen, an FPS widget, and a compass system.
A majority of my tasks involved UI/UX creation and implementation.
As a Tech Designer that could easily implement quick fixes, I was also one of the main play-testers and bug finders/squashers of our team.
I created and programmed the functionality of the all the settings menus for the game. Including Audio, Visual, Accessibility, and Controls.
I also created, directed, and implemented the end credits reel.
